I don't think ASUS uses ASRock in that way. They're simply a spun off lower end sector/company.

I don't recall ASRock being better than ASUS anytime in the past.

Before the Rampage II, ASUS had the Maximus Formula and Rampage Formula for starters, and then there was the Striker II and or Commando or whatot else before them (like the DDR3 variants of above boards). What did ASRock have before those that was the best board around?

Let's also not forget the almost monopolistic P4x800 (P4B800, P4C800, P4P800, etc.) boards on Intel's side of the fence in the socket 478 days. I can personally attest that ASRock wasn't better then either.

It's been lately that they've been getting good, not the other way around that they were in the past and ASUS is playing follower to them or anything.

I never said asrock was better then asus i only said they do the experimenting still i was wrong with what i said about the mobo Rampage II was launched near the end of 2008 and Asrock's X58 Super Computer mobo was launched in january 2009...

Another vote for getting yourself an ASUS board, even a vanilla P5Q like mine should do.
