On-Board Video Card problem

I just bought a radeon 7200 pci card. I want to get the 8mb memory the old onboard card used back so it's normal memory. I tried taking away the memory from the card in the bios but it only lets me take 6mb and gives me an error about the wrong amount of memory. Any suggestions on how to get the memory back would be much appreciated.

Look at your mobo's manual. You should be able to completely disable the card either in the BIOS or using a jumper switch

There isn't an option for it in either of those places.

Would disabling the card through the device manager do anything?

AFAIK, the onboard card can only be disabled through BIOS or jumpers. If you can't do it through bios, then perhaps you can through jumpers(you really must have your mobo's manual for that).
