Lots of nice Nokia Phones to pick from Raks. Lemme know what the Nokia Models are you're looking at (cuz I aint sure what's available for $400 in your country) and then I will be able to help you a little better. I personally am aiming at getting the new 6710 Navigator as my next phone upgrade in November.

Take a look at Nokia 5730, review : Nokia 5730 XpressMusic review: Full musical keyboard - GSMArena.com, I generally don't like phone without keypad...

Yeah that's the 5800s biggest flaw, no keypad.

Note: All of the below is related solely to touchscreen phones. Stay away from Nokia touchscreens. They're all resistive not capacitive, and the (old) OS they run on was never intended for touchscreens. I'd suggest WinMo, but that too has its own set of faults. Not to mention its going to be outdated within a year. Really, the other logical options are something Android based, a Blackberry, or an iPhone(/Pre if you're from the US). All of which target completely different markets. Before you move further on in your hunt for the best phone... You've got to decide what market you're a part of.

I have a Iphone since about a year now and the only thing i can complain is that bluetooth doesn´t work as i expected.. other than that i can´t complain. oh and yea after having a iphone i won´t touch a traditional phone anymore... if i ever replace my iphone for another phone then it must be one with Android OS installed but a normal phone again?... no way!!!Spoiler:

For smartphones I would pick. Palm Pre/ HTC Hero/ Iphone/ Samsung Omnia For normal phones I never liked Nokia and Motorola. Hate their interface. What I love is Sony Ericsson phones, the walkman line was always a winner with me.

Ummm Symbian counts as a smartphone and their new s60 5th edition interface is actually pretty good (I hated their icon too, but now not). I found that SE phones generally have low build quality, after a while of normal usage you'll hear creaking sound, they use cheap plastic .

I know your range Raks, the problem is I don't know which phones fall into that range for you. In my case I would converting from my country's prices to USD which is hardly ideal and can be very different from converting your country's prices to USD. Anyways between the 5800XpressMusic and the N85 the N85 wins hands down. So go for the N85.
