So here's the plan. I'll get a Phenom II x2 550 and a good 790Fx chipset mobo for future processors. I'll try to get to know the price of the Asus Crosshair III formula motherboard. If it reasonable I'll get it or an Asus M4A79T Deluxe.

Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
Newegg.com - ASUS Crosshair III Formula AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

Edit : sorry for double post

Those Penom II X2 chips are pretty neat.. they're actually X4s with two cores disabled, and sometimes the extra two cores can be enabled, much like you could with the X3s.

Of course it's hit and miss, sometimes only one core is unlockable, and sometimes none at all.

Tw ocores would be enough for me besides they are super cheap. They overclock good and are a true competition to Core 2 duo's. It is a little faster than the E7400 from a review that I heard.

AMD is making a good comeback, they deserve a chance.

Edit - I might just be able to get a 955. Lets see how things go.

Due to some personal matters ,which I can't reveal, I'm lower the budget of the build to 800$. Its not something like I'm in a financial crisis, its just that something might happen due to which buying an expensive pc will not be a wise option.

I'm getting 80$ for my old pc which makes the money from the pocket around 700$.
