Also some Corsair dominator 4gb.

Go with 800MHz frequency RAM too, 1066MHz or 1200MHz isn't really worth the money.

There's something disastrously wrong with your build by the way...you plan on overlocking performance RAM and everything....but where's the CPU cooler?

Did you remember to include the price of that when checking that it falls within the new budget?

Ok just wanted to check cuz you never added it to the front page so it could be easy to forget it when budgeting.

I saw a 19" LCD in a store and It was quite big enough for me.

So I thought of getting this LG W1942S - LG Global Site

getting a full tower made no sense for a GTX 260 or HD 4870 so I'm getting a Coolermaster Storm Scout.

I have one little question. Whic hwould be better a Sapphire 1GB HD 4870 or Palit GTX 260 216core.

OpenGL has always been a problem, and it will be highlighted if you use emus.

Forceware > CCC.

btw that monitor isn't wide-screen is it? (doesn't look like it from the pic but still wanted to confirm). 19" wide-screen are failure, I caught glimpse of a few just today and boy am I glad to have this 19" CRT instead of that!

I was talking about the 19" (and smaller) ones. 21"+ wide-screens would look good I guess. With 19", the height of the monitor is really small. Acer actually makes 15.6" wide-screens, frustrates the heck out of me who'd wanna buy that!

The 512mb version is cheaper by 40$. It should be enough for a 19" monitor right ?

Have some patience and wait for your question to be answered. In the meantime read the rules about forum etiquette. Geez I thought you'd have learned it by now that you shouldn't demand an answer in a just an hour.

If you want your answer do some research yourself, there's plenty of reviews on the internet that explain the difference between 1GB and 512MB and how much impact it has on the performance.

Looking at the amount of new processors coming up looks like going AM3 is the safest bet. The price of making one would be less too . I can spend the money I save for buying other stuff (like an ipod).
