Innovative technologies found in the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4000 series drove increased demand from notebook manufacturers - 7thSpace Interactive

It was always known ATI was the more preffered choice in the mobile market, compared to Intel and Nvidia...but damn, 53%?! That's crazy.

I guess Nvidia trying to hide their little 8 series fiasco cost them their confidence with manufacturers

It makes sense, even today every line of Sony Vaio laptop that has a nvidia video card has problems with video card failure and many other companies are having problems with nvidia cards overheating or breaking down. I think it is because ati's 4000 series is able to take a lot more heat, they built it really solid and they are good even until 120C, and those are just the desktop models. Nvidia cards on the otherhand only last till like 105C. and Intel has weak cards that can't play games very well, so ATI is the best choice to go with

I would love to see a Notebook card hit 120C. They will throttle 50C lower then that.

Meh they both trade blows, but ATI beats Nvida in one thing....price. People these days refuse to pay 1,000 for a videocard option in a notebook. Quantity beats high end anyday
