True, I did forget about GDDR5, on the other hand though nVidia is the first to use a bus size bigger than 256bit.
And I did also forget about the 55nm process, don't have anything to put up against that.
Yes ATi might be the first to 2GB, nVidia however was the first for memory sizes bigger than 512MB.

So that leaves us with 4 new things on ATi cards and 8 new concepts (if I include multi-card setups, which might have existed before, but nVidia was first to bring them back) first on nVidia cards.

ATI's graphics cards can't even effectively manage a 2GB framebuffer properly.

Lol, the AMD merger is hardly something we benefitted from (as well as it not being a new technology/graphics card concept)...until perhaps now....but for while there it silenced both of them so I am afraid it's still at 4

Also according the the info that I forgot and that was posted by Squall if nVidia first manage to fully use 2GB (rather than showing 2GB on the card but only having access to 1 (or thereabouts), which is something all dual cards and multi-card setups are currently plaqued by) or a greater amount of VRAM then I am afraid I will even have to deduct that point from ATi and give it to nVidia so that would be quite bad.

the merger has done nothing but stifle amd's RND funding, causing subsequent low performance cpu's to be released.

the GTS 250 comes with 2GB's of memory, and in high res games it shows massive gains.

GTX 285 is only Rs.3000 ( 60$ ) cheaper to a GTX 295
