Interesting. Nice to see the IMC in action.

How did they get a CPU-Z version capable of detecting a Nehalem properly?
And only 4 cores for a display model? :O

Maybe they are having some problems manufacturing ones with more active core (eg 6) that can reach greater than 2.5ghz.....

Nice to see it uses so little voltage.

intel must provide required detection info to the coder of cpu-z,
since they use cpu-z at official shows

I think intel are just playing it safe, iirc a few months back nehalem was shown at 3.2ghz

that's one low voltage for 4+4 virtual cores,
and the score is good

Holy ****! 20x multiplier?!?!?

I believe my jaw will drop on how far it's going to overclock.

remember the mc is now on the chip itself though.

That score is a decent improvement. I'll buy one.

well....sort of but not really

45% improvement compared to Yorkfield,
which is only due the the hyperthreading

(ie 8 cores vs 4 gives 45% improvement)

Yup, that's what I calculated too. And agree that it is due to the hyperthreading. But 45% is good enough for me to lay down more cash. I won't be buying it at launch. It'll be a while later before I upgrade to nehalem.

okay this pic looks even faker than the nVidia one.

1) 20x multiplier is retarded.
2) only showing 4 cores...
3) sucky 2.6 clock
4) not showing the entire 3dsmark 06 screen.
5) showing up on CPU-z!!!!

heres the list of supported processors on CPU-z's website
Quote:
Intel® Pentium™, Pentium™ MMX, Pentium™ Pro, Pentium™ II, Pentium™ !!!, Pentium™ !!!-M, Pentium™ 4, Pentium™ 4-M, Pentium™ M, Pentium™ D, Pentium™ XE, Pentium™ Dual Core, Core™ Solo, Core™ Duo, Core™ 2 Duo, Core™ 2 Quad, Core™ 2 Extreme, Celeron™ (P2/P3/P4/PM/CL) and Xeon™ (P2/P3/P4/C2D/C2Q) ; Itanium™, Itanium™ 2 ;
and heres their latest updates

I wouldn't say 20x multiplier is retarded. It keeps the FSB down, which in turn keeps the heat down. And a Nehalem clocked at 2.6Ghz probably outdoes a Conroe, Kentsfield, Wolfsdale and Yorkfield at 2.6Ghz. We still have yet to see how good it's new features actually perform.

Theres Benchmarks now, apparently Nehalem will provide a 35% + boost over Core 2/Quad Processors.

How long until Nehalem is out on the retail market? Just imagine playing PCSX2 or Dolphin64/Gekko on one of those processors.

I've been planning on building a new PC when the Nehalem's are released. Getting a bit tired of the old 3000+.

If they are well priced then I am sold.

seriously; in nearly everything I post you cry fake.
from the nvidia charts to benchs

Please stop doing it.

Try considering the fact everything i'm posting is from official displays at computex
I keep the fake stuff to the bin

1) 20x multiplier is retarded. - Confidential chips have unlocked multis
2) only showing 4 cores... - it only has 4 cores-> 4+4 hyperthreaded cores as per spec for nehalem
3) sucky 2.6 clock - core 2 came in at lower clocks than p4, clockspeeds mean nothing
4) not showing the entire 3dsmark 06 screen. - it's from a quick screencap. at computex you have to be fast to steal benchmark time
5) showing up on CPU-z!!!! - notice the wrong detection of core 2 and fsb values, nehalem has an integrated imc

The voice for that video is hilarious Totally sounds like some European, old man computer nerd

But hey, I though Nehalem was supposed to get rid of the FSB system and have something like AMDs Hypertransport?

oh, yeah

I forgot this

1) 20x multiplier is retarded. - emm, this is a new gen confidential chip with an unlocked multi
2) only showing 4 cores... - it only has 4 cores, duh. 4+4 hyperthreaded cores as per spec
3) sucky 2.6 clock - and what's your point? remember core 2 cae in at lower clocks than p4
4) not showing the entire 3dsmark 06 screen. - again and?
5) showing up on CPU-z!!!! - zomg *sarcasm*
Well, since I got the green light, I can tell you this much: CPU-Z can't read everything from the new Nehalem processors except for the basic information, since the clock generator is embedded. And CPU-Z tends to read the clock generator from the motherboard. Which means... traditional methods won't show anything right about Nehalem.

P.S.: Not much more can be said. My emails are going too slow. ;p

fake.fake.fake.fake.

people always post fake things on the internet.
i have every right to be skeptical.

believing everything that comes out would be stupid.

especially since none of these are from official sources like nVidia.com and Intel.com

and i believed your ATI post in the bin since that looked reasonable.

and the video you posted looks legit, but pretty useless for gathering information...
except that it proves they're using 8-cored nehalems, since that little small box shows each core's activity.

so that shows the CPU-z thing is probably fake or incorrect since it only showed 4 cores.

Nehalem has no fsb

btw, I would like to emphasize that around 4-6 months back I posted pictures of Nehalem.

Now I confirm that they were indeed the real thing

I love being right

*Nice mode off*

Look at my latest post.
That's the exact chip that was benched.

I am posting 100% OFFICIAL (as confirmed by the manufacturer) info of the latest hardware

what are you doing that's constructive?

Stop crying fake on my ****, I work hard trolling for this stuff
