Talking So, sold some old hardware

A friend rang me up in the wee early hours of the morning. He was desparate for some good, used and cheap computer parts. Video card, RAM and CPU.

So! With my auto insurance rebate cheque + $200 from sold parts + $500 from Tax Return = ... Well, pictures are worth a thousand words

P.S.
Please don't ban me

SHAME on you for buying from See-B1t ! They suck!

You had better start buying from NCIX, tigerdirect or that 1 place you mentioned a few days ago. Or else I hope they do ban you

Okay honestly I went and bought a Logitech G15 Keyboard there yesterday

Damnit you could have sold me your 8800GTX

Don't cry when my tri-slot-stock-cooler-with-sixteen-feet-length graphics card smoke your card!
Oh wait... it already smoked!!

Sincerely... I sincerely doubt that you'd see a drastic performance boost on GT200 or whatever... anyway, so 9800GX2 should still be a good choice. Nice purchase there, mate. (And you thought I was going to plunge another knife into your body? lol)

I think it was a good choice for my needs. Plus, my board only has 1 PCI-E slot . So a dual GPU solution is perfect instead of Xfire/SLI.

Indeed. And you know what? I'd personally advise you to just get on with some games, and play the hell out of them. Do benchmarks like... a decade later, after you've completed everything else.

Meh, they both have their horror stories. I went with BFG because I know someone who went through their RMA process and it sounded like it was hassle free.

i had to send in my old bfg 7900gt, they sent me back a crappy 8600gts, which performs worse at higher resolutions, and they wouldnt get me something better.

that happened to a friend of mine, except he returned an XFX 7900gt and got an XFX 8600gts

i was kind of iffy about it, but he doesn't care too much about his hardware so long as it plays games (he beat crysis with that 8600gts).
