What are the chances your high overclock was just a result of getting lucky with a great chip?

The internal res is only at the standard at about 512 x 512, and at the top of gabest plugin it shows cpu being maxed out... hmmm. obviously that 99% is incorrect, even with 60fps frame limiter enabled.

the cpu stats on top arent always right. it says its around 30% on persona 3, but my cpu reader on vista reads 100%, and i know its cpu limited, especially with my gpu.

are you sure your looking at the correct percentage? The first % is ratio to running at 60fps, while the % second is the cpu usage.

Oh yes, I do cherish the card. It's about a bit faster than 5200 for sure.

But definitely not the best from the looks of things... lol. I have a GeForce 7150 board lying around here somewhere... now if I can just find that... or find one of those >7300 cards somewhere around here. When business is blooming, it's just hard to test things.

^= I wasn't the only one, actually... but that guy needed 1.382v on a cherry-picked chip (VID 1.032v!!!), while I need only 1.368v. Guess cherry-picked doesn't mean much!

Edit: And yeah... the non-extreme chips get this heatsink. Actually the quad-core ones get the one with copper base. But like that is going to help...

Just be advised... budget first.

I can get this kind of performance with a $140 processor, so I advise that you just try to do the same thing, and settle with something that can break 200fps in FFX. lol

Wait... so did you get a skulltrail rig or...? Because QX9770 is LGA771. QX9775 is the one with LGA775.

And anyway, it's a bit slower than QX9650 for some weird reason.

E7200 seems like the best choice for anyone who is looking for some drastic performance boost in PCSX2... and is on a budget.
