Help on good mobo!

I need some help in finding a good mobo, I heard some1 say that the p5k-e w/ wifi was good and it was a load of garbage apparently, I won't say names though. Anyway, I need help in finding a good mobo that can overclock well of course and that is below $200 USD, preferably an Asus board.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

What do you need to overclock, though? Please be more specific.

sorry for the delay, I've been having a hard time finding time and a comp as well, but luckily I found some time and fixed my labtop.

Anyway, I'm looking for a mobo (preferably Asus) that can out-perform at least my sadly dead P5B - D w/Wifi AP.

Mobo Desired :

CPU : C2D+
Ram : 533/800
Lan : 10/100/1000
Price Range : $100-200 USD

note : Should have great OC capability, minor to no issues.

I think you just answered your own question... and whoever told you that pk5-e is crap that person don't know jack cuz they don't own one Also, the P5k Deluxe now cost $170 after MIR Newegg.com - ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

If you willing to wait for a few more weeks the P45 chipset could be a better buy/deal, P5Q-E wifi (g/b/n)

If no one else knows of a good mobo out there with the above specs, I guess I 'll wait a couple of weeks and see if the Asus P5Q comes out. I looked it up on google and it doesn't seem to have a release date, sigh.

@Tuanming : I heard many rumors and in the internet there's plenty of complain concerning the P5K-E w/Wifi AP. I bought 1 despite the bad reputation and it gave me a lot of trouble, had a hard time trying to get it to turn on, anyway I shipped it back.

I'll keep looking on Newegg until I find a good mobo, if the P5Q comes out within 2 weeks i will buy that 1.

Guess you probably had one of those faulty board, bad luck i guess. Even the PS3 and Xbox 360 have faulty hardwares and other motherboard brands are no exception. But sometime it's could be the user fault and they don't even know it... like a loose connection, faulty ram, faulty psu, etc. This is why it's best to go Fry's Electronics and get them at retail price and if anything goes wrong you can always exchange or get a full refund in a snap!

Correction: XBox360 has hardware faults. I've never heard of many defective PS3 units, and most were the end-user's errors, anyway.

In any case, any other P35 motherboard should do fine. GIGABYTE's EP45 should be good. DFI also makes good motherboards.
