E7200 is better. \o/

But seriously... OEM vs BOX is just like... stripped orange versus original orange. One you need to strip off yourself, and then you get the orange strips. One you don't have to, but you don't get the orange strips.

Ummm, to sum it up, you don't get the box with one. And warranty depending on the place of purchase I believe.

And in case you are going to purchase one, just wanted to let you know that E7200 is $60 cheaper, and it offers about the same kind of performance.

box = cpu + heatsink/fan + shiny sexy box
oem = cpu

the cpu's are the same. the only difference between oem and box is the packaging.

i wonder though if companies ship re-stocked (or returned) chips as OEMs.

I always buy Boxed because I fear that i'm going to get a Used chip, that someone returned b/c it dosn't OC well.

plus boxed comes with a HSF if you need one

if the OEM ones were returned, they wouldnt be allowed to sell them for like, 10 bucks less than the retail

not without naming it "refubished" or "B Grade stock"

they lie all the time.

i've ordered so much stuff online that looks like it had been re-packaged and stuff.

like a motherboard with the manual having ripped pages.

and memory sticks having plenty of finger prints on them.

definitely not Factory-sealed condition.
