Question involving ATI VideoCard

Hi i would like to ask a question for ePSXe Pete Opengl2 can you use an ATI X1950 and have good performance (like Very Hi X/Y internal resolution + all quality options on + Shaders) and also those it have bad performance for PCSX2 or is it enough.
Also i would like to ask the same thing about ATI3870
I'm an ati fan but i like performance 2 so thats why i'm asking to know should my next videocard be an ati or nvidia

Well, OpenGL support in default drivers sucks balls. They have lots issues with Pete's OpenGl2. If you go ATI, use Windows XP with Omega Drivers.

For PCSX2 it's good enough, maybe except for 8X or 16X AA on ZeroGS.

Well, if you're keeping that same CPU, the x1950 should be sufficient. Emulation is more heavy on the CPU then GPU in most cases. Pairing your CPU with a 3870 would be inefficient IMO.

I'm planing to change the CPU as well but there i dont have any question i know what to get the only place i'm stuck is videocard selection

The OpenGL problem that plagues ATI cards with Pete's plugins should be fixed with the next set of Catalyst drivers.
