No need to act like an ass.

If that's for PCSX2, take the Nvidia. And the only difference between the CPUs is the 2mb cache difference and couple megahertz of clock speed...other then that, they're identical.

Not necessarily... Are you talking about the Athlon X2 6400+ or the Core2Duo E6400?

No one has said anything about the GPU yet. Definately go for the 8800GT

e6600 is slower than a AMD X2 6400+ when both on stock. But unless you got a lemon the G0 and even B2 stepped e6600 will be faster if both the 6400+ and e6600 where clocked to their max potential.

IF you are overclocking. The E6600. If not. Whichever is cheaper.

E7200 ($130-150) or E7300 ($140 - 160). Both of the above mentioned CPUs... are seriously outdated.
As for GPU, 9600GT is already enough for PCSX2. If it's not for PCSX2 then get 8800GT.

E6600 or better yet, a quad core... In terms of overclocking, Intel CPUs overclock waaaaay more than AMD. Period. For GPU 8800 512mb GTS is the way to go if you don't plan on buying video card for the next few years.

Do I really have to? Um... okay... someone ought to do that for the sake of PCSX2, huh? Give me a week.

^It'll be interesting to see how the neutered cache affects performance. Can you compare it to an E8x serie at the same fsb+multiplier? Or am I asking too much?

Well, to me, if it can run PCSX2 the same as E8xxx, that's good enough. Who cares about the rest now? ;p There have been a lot of benchmarks out there to show that despite the neutered cache, it's still about as fast as a E8xxx CPU at the same clock frequencies.

Ahhhh. I'll dig around on google for those benches Been swamped with reports
BTW, nice OC of the Q9450 on a P5E-VM. I could only get ~3.6 kinda stable on my P5K-C. I wasn't going to run it like that for 24/7 clocks, and was too lazy to find the bottleneck to get more out of it. It went to a good home and i got a G0 and new in box E84 in return
