So, What Kinda Speeds Can I Get??
I am building my PC and this is what I currently have.
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (64 Bit) Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI (Mobo) GeForce 9800 GTX (G92) 512 MB 4GB RAM DDR2 SDRAM I want to play Naruto (Ultimate Ninja 2 - Accel 2 and up), Bleach (Blade Battlers 2 and up), and DBZ BT2 and up. So, what kinda speeds can I get in these games?? I was also wondering if it could play other high demanding games like FF, Persona, GoW 2??, and etc.

Actually, no, Bleach Blade Battlers 2 currently cannot be played full speed...I do not know if it is a requirement issue or something, but on my system it crawls, and your system isn't so much better than mine to make a difference.
Also, certain attacks by characters freeze the game and it cannot be played...considering NPC's usually automatically transform and use said attacks, it's Unplayable in my book(A few characters transformations run fine, sure, but 90% of them don't) DBZ games sure, you'll pwn them. Like said, OC that E8400. About Naruto though, I'm not sure, but I hear alot of complaints about those games...so good luck.

Well if you want more in depth advice, make a thread in the hardware section
![]() Mkilbride, an 8400 clocked to 4.3 ghz probably will play it fullspeed

That amount of Extra MHZ could not amount to 25-35FPS required at some parts, unless it's mainly GPU limited, which it may be. I did not notice a slowdown even while upping the resolution though, it stayed at the same speed, top thing was at like 45-75% most of the time...so if you're saying 900MHZ would suffice? Even on a better architecture...hmm. Oh well, I dunno, it could be an emulation issue.
I'm just making sure he doesn't come back here and complain about speed issues, sure, his system is going to be beefy, but BB2 is quite intensive.

I don't plan to overclock the CPU anytime soon since it is new (would like to get 2 years before that).

Mkilbride: Still the same anti n00b dude as always. may be i should boot hockland out of your gang and take his place as n00b killer number 2
![]() no overclock=no good speeds. simple as that....unless with disgea or ffx

Oh...what a waste, E8400 was almost built just to OC, it OC's easily...and so well.
You'll probably get about the same performance than me, or a little better due to advanced architecture and yoru 9800GTX.(Did you edit that down to a 8800?) Please reconsider though, Over-clocking is safe and easy, and well worth it. It's almost a crime to buy a E8400 and NOT OC. I see your edit. Persona 3...not sure, @ 3.4GHZ, some battles get me down to 30FPS, and some scenes 25-27FPS, you really should OC it.(I've read a 4.0GHZ E8400 got full speed, even if only 600MHZ more, it's architecture is insane, I guess) GoW2...No one knows, as it isn't playable, but considering it's a late PS2 game...probably require a beast. FF's your set though. Also remember games that aren't emulated properly may not run full speed. Such as "Shadow Hearts' for example, even if I run it in DX10 mode and it barely uses my CPU or GPU, it can get down to 45FPS sometimes, due to not being emulated properly, and it's graphics are worse than FFX. Yet FFX can go 100FPS+

yeah i know. with a decent cooler, most games could run near full speed....and in some cases, beyond it.

A cooler eh. I will OC, but I don't want to mess up my other apps. I have been told that the mobo and CPU are great for OC but I have no clue how to do it and I heard that it mess up your system (if done wrong) and applications.

Dude, go to google and troll through it for 2 hours. after the time is up, you will see how easy (and downright addictive) overclocking is

Huh? What about the E8400? I wouldn't know anything about that.
Also PCSX2 section is pissing me off as it borderlines the hardware section way too freaking much. Also I updated the min. specs in the FAQ if anybody cares.

Newegg.com - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - Thermal Compound / Grease Newegg.com - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
