What exactly would be the advantage of having that gfx card over the one I currently have??

Dude....an 8800 GTX can still hang with the newer generation of cards, something your 7900 can only dream of.

The guy is thinking of buying the "GeForce 9800 GTX (G92) 512 MB", he wanna know why he should get something like what you propose over this.

well an 8800 gtx oc will still cost below 350 nowadays....which is faster. a regular gtx will cost around 220 to 270 on ebay. actually i think the 9800 is an under baked card..

9800 can be had for $270 now, and they can be overclocked to surpass 8800 Ultra. It's not so much about the card, but about its clockability. If you are enthusiastic enough, you can pretty much squeeze out over 8800 Ultra performance with the 9800GTX. If not, well... it's good for some games.

If you have water-cooling ready. Ultra cards run insanely hot. And if you go water, 9800GTX can still clock even higher.

God man that system will play them good unless they emulator dosent emulate them right but most games work fine on my pc. Sould work great.
