This is just intels typical illegal behavior, Undercutting the competition, because they can deal with the small loss.

Intel is just being competitive and how is that illegal? Is it illegal to have superior products when your rival (or whatever you want to call it) doesn't have the product that as good as yours?

its illegal to have a monopoly

if intel completely runs AMD out of business, they will have a monopoly. And legal action would be taken.

I don't think AMD is even close to Intel. The reason behind the cutting of prices must be their business plan for increasing their shares or something.
I am a business student, and I must have done the same.

All I can say is Phil is right, grab those core2quads until you can ,cause soon ,prices of those quads will tear the sky apart.

That "if" of yours is decided by the consumers not Intel itself. Intel can only do the pricing (and other stuffs..) it's up to the buyer/people who decide what they want to do with their money, and if the general public decided/prefer Intel over AMD processor, then so be it. If Amd want to blame someone then maybe they should blame themselves for not being innovative enough to outperform Intel.

If Intel does become monopoly and sky rocket the price on their processors--if they do that, they basically just shot them self in the foot! If no one buy their product then it's theirs lost. Anyway, that's not likely going to happen and the government is here for a reason you know.

By the way, Amd doesn't manufacture their processor; the majority of their manufactured CPUs comes from IBM. I wouldn't be surprise if IBM take over Amd

Believe me, IBM has proposed the idea on several occasions.

Its an illegal business practice, by cutting the cost of similar rated processors, Intel can undermine AMD's market position.
