Got black screen after power on
I came home and powered my PC on. It loaded Windows XP normally, but when I clicked my user picture, computer rebooted. Then I saw a flash of a blue screen and computer turned off.
When I tried to restart again, screen stayed black and red light was on. Nothing more happened. OK, them I started to find out what's the problem. 1. Unplugged Hard drives, didn't solve problem. 2. Tried different graphics card, didn't solve problem. 3. Changed CPU back to my old. First boot: everything worked normally. I thought I had found the problem. Then I turned computer off, putted new thermal paste and placed PSU back. Again: black screen. 4. PSU gives power, so I think that motherboard is broken. I still have some months of warranty left. Just need someone to confirm that I'm right. If so, I will contact the dealer and so on... Thanks for advance.

I screwed it to it's place, so during the testing it was next to my computer.

Sounds more like you fried your CPU up to this point.
