I guess you might just be able to hit 4GHz with that Q6700 quite easily... although the cooling would be crazy.

Yeah... well, if you are unsure, you can just buy a pre-assembled, pre-overclocked computer.

Depends on what you need, the aforementioned PC is great for $1200, what are you starting with? Do you need a Harddrive? DVD-ROM/Burner? Monitor? Keyboard mouse and speakers? A Copy of Windows?
If you need Everything could easily cost over $2000.

yes, but dependant on your other parts, we dont know how far it will overclock. i doubt you have extremely good memory etc which can cope with it, HP tend to do everything on a budget to reduce costs.

Memory = system memory = Ram.
Quality of memory is based on what speed it can run stable at, not the quantity of ram. When running pcsx2 a system of 2gb is plenty even for the memory vortex known as Vista. You have a 32bit OS so it is only capable of addressing(using) about ~3gb of the 4gb your actual memory. If you were to put in 8gb of memory your system would still say ~3gb and thats all you use. Some of the missing 1gb or memory also gets allocated to your videocard.

Well, since you are that way... I guess... would you take on an offer of a custom built computer?
(And okay, I will pay commission fee to NGemu later! )

Runawayprisoner - Sell him those wicked awesome $350 VGA or DVI-D MONSTER cables too for his monitor too. Give him a discount though. Maybe sell them to him with a mindblowing $250 discount for only a freakin' cheap $90-100 I know you can afford it

Do you consider it good if it breaks 60fps in Gran Turismo 4?
![]() And yeah... maybe I'll have a special discount. It's just that I sell computers for bare minimum prices (as in I get like... 1% of the total value as my labor fee!) so I don't usually have discounts. Thing is... I'm good at getting stuffs that are short on supply at reasonable prices.

Actually, I just sold a computer the other day. The guy who bought the computer is very pleased with it right now. You can ask him if you want. He's nezzari on the XtremeSystems forums.
