Installing OS on RAID

I'm planing to install Vista Ultimate 64 on a RAID 0 setup, but do I have to get a floppy or RAID driver? (or so I heard) if I want to install a fresh OS.

Last i heard, vista can detect RAID/SCSI drivers on USB devices now, way better than XP with floppy only.

That'd be awesome, since I don't want to spend $15 just for the one time use floppy...
Does USB external hard driver or USB flash work?

That i wouldnt know, i only heard from a friend. I dont have Vista, nor RAID.
You might wanna double check it with someone else.

EDIT: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. this is your MOBO?
You might wanna go to ASUS site and look for a RAID driver. And maybe in the manual theres some tips about setting RAID.

Also found this on google: ExtremeMhz.com-EMHz Tech Tip: Loading more than one RAID driver in Vista Install

I've never set up a RAID config.
seems too problematic.

also, if 1 of your drives fail out of the 2, you loose all your data unless you do the config where the data is backed up on a third drive... but then you need 3 drives..

Thank you!
I'll make sure I get that onto my USB flash before I install Vista.

@Cotton,
Yeah I'm going to have 3 drives, but not identical, since Raptor costs too much =_=
I will have a cheap storage drive just for backing up copies important files, I'm going to use the RAID 0 for programs and active files.
