Something with the power of a system to be released 10 years from now and compatible with current software

Oh, and it has to draw only 100W max, and be cooled passively.

Well at the moment I just wish I had about 1000 dollars so that I could get an E8400 and a 8800GT 1GB along with it (and the rest of the parts obviously in the semi-prebuilt I keep on checking out on a site here in SA)

My Dream PC.

500-core, 500GHZ processor. Wee. 500MB Cache on it. GFX card @ 500,000MHZ / 500,000,000 MHZ speeds.

500GB of RAM.(500,000,000,000 MHZ RAM SPEED)

500 Yottabytes of storage.(Instant file transfer) Yottabyte - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How about just a self-upgrading PC, which upgrades itself at no extra cost if you are going to be so surrealist...

Wrong its windows Vista

oh btw that article i linked to doesn't show all the tasty tech details. Thats how i know its random read/write are 7-10 faster than its sustained r/w.

If you wanna surf the web in 5 seconds from when you press the power ON button, a mobo came out recently with linux (i think ubuntu) built into a rom chip on the mobo fully loaded with firefox and everything else.

That sounds really enticing.

Console Gaming = Toyota's. They're efficient, affordable, and produced for the mass market.

PC Gaming = Ferrari. They're beautiful, expensive, over-the-top, and the best experience possible on the market. They're just aren't enough people out there who can afford it to realize it.

Pffft, with the processing power of one of those beasts, who needs a GPU to render graphics ? If I can afford to maintain one of those, I'll just hire a crew to whip me up a decent graphics driver
