Continuously press F8 at startup and choose it with the arrow keys and press enter.

Well, i figured that out, but the file that is corrupted is also screwing up safemode so i gotta repair it with the cd, but i gotta fashion a way to do so. I dont have a fdd so i gotta put the boot disk on cd since i have a really old cd(non bootable)

Recovery console. Extract the file from the .cab on the cd. Simple.

I know all that. Although i just formatted and put a fresh load on. And yeah, i have one of the original xp cds that wasnt bootable, you need a floppy boot disk (like me, 98, etc.) and i dont realy have a floppy drive so it dont matter...
