data and partition suddenly gone
why my data and partition on my internal harddisk (seagate 80gb and maxtor 120gb) suddenly disappear? like someone has been formated it?
this happen when i reinstall windows without connect my 2nd and 3rd hdd, or after i removed my hdd for some time then connect my hdd again.

was it vista you reinstalled from by chance? or did install. Vista can be a pain with partitions afaik.
recreate the partition and quick format, then search for a handy bit of software called "File scavanger". Its not free, but it does a blinding job.

yep..that true refraction..i've been using file scavanger for a while and i think it is the super cool software i ever use to recover my long lost file..well not 100% though..some by luck hehe

Hmm.... Did you try to access that drive using an MS-DOS boot disk? (Or something.)
MS-DOS as well up to Win98 boot disks cannot read NTFS drives.

Well, yes, there are some viruses that have the capability (Or unintended) side effect of being able to ruin FAT's.... One I remember is the CIH virus....
More likely hunch is that is a dying hard drive. Have you tired disk checkers with SMART analysis software?

yes i have check using hdd analyzer, and status OK. if my partition has been deleted, how can i recover only the partition ? so my data can be saved... is that possible ?
