Speakers
So, turns out I get a crap load of money back after doing my taxes and now I'm going to buy something that I've been putting off for years.
Good speakers. I've been hearing and reading good things on the Logitech Z-5500. It's probably what I'll get unless someone sways me with their suggestions .

I've heard there's a German brand called Teufel that has better speakers for less the price, Logitech isn't all that subtle when it comes to its subwoofers. I'd read some reviews if I were you, Teufel probably won't be available for you, shipping will cost way too much, but there's many brand better than Logitech, it just depends on what you want to hear, and what kind of music you listen and all.

I have wharfedale diamond 8.1 active speakers (studio speakers, not made for pc)
![]() backing them up I have some Alesis surrounds (again for recording studios) the pro-active 5.1 model http://www.sweetwater.com/feature/te...t51/proact.jpg and a custom bass kicker I made myself all are powered by my rack which consists of a presonus firepod (before it was renamed fp-10) and an ada clean tubedriver for the basskicker only (an ada mp-1) my system has is made for recording and mixing and is extremely pretentious tbh :/ I would suggest buying an Alesis proact 5.1 and adding a decent 15 for bass, should get you a nice quality sound that will crap all over commercial gaming speakers always go for convetional hi-fi type speakers over the toys used in pc speakers, my rule of thumb is that if the whole setup weighs less than me it isn't good enough lolz even just some diamond 8.1 (non active) would kick ass, you should be able to get a pair for around $230 for extra lulz, have a Sephiroth on top riding it as his vessel

I think that's a bit overkill for me John
![]() And yeah Cid, I don't feel like ordering from outside the country, so I'll probably just stick with Logitech. Heck, I can grab the Z-5500 for $279 right now
