Play Playstation2 games on lappy screen? [Will pay 15$ for good solution.]

Hi there.

Since I'm moving around alot, I want to play my Playstation2 games on my lappy screen. [Native resolution is 1280x800]
Laptop is Dell Vostro 1500. [C2D 7250 2Ghz, 8600M GT, 2GB, 160GB HDD]

My laptop has these outputs: S-video out, VGA out, ExpressCard.
My playstation 2 is the slim model.

What TV-card, tuner, cables do I need? I've read alot about Gamebridge but that seems garbage.

The games I want to play mainly are Final Fantasyes and Burnouts.
And yes I've searched this forum through and I've googled enough.

If anyone is willing to help with a solution, I'll happily donate 15$ USD via Paypal to him/her.

Thanks.

Save your money and get an adapter for componet and s video...(the ps2 doesnt support anything higher unless your playing pcsx2)

Actually I can play with PSCX2 just fine, games like Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy X and some others run about 60fps all the time. But since Burnouts are unplayable, controller setup is a pain and alot of other good games are not working I thought it'll be easier to use PS2 itself.

So what kind of a component and S-video adapter should I look at? Any suggestion? (Like a link to something? Then I could do a research on these).

How will the picture look?

I already noted in the first post, it's Dell Vostro 1500.
My GPU is nVidia 8600M GT (512mb) (using laptopvideo2go drivers) and slight OC, 3D06 is 4611 points in native resolution. CPU is Core 2 Duo 7250 @ 2Ghz. RAM amount is 2GB.

wow duo's are awesome, he can even play pcsx2 on 2ghz. Wow. I had the same problem with PS2 games on my lappy screen, I was thinking to use a scart socket to transmit my ps2 video to my pc through tv out, using the available scart option (think rather than in, you choose out).

Havn't tried it, but it may work, but don't waste your time trying, don't think it will.

Anyway as above its resolution would suck anyway.

First buy a s-video or component cable for your Ps2 (depending on the card you will buy). Composite won't do, it will look terrible and washed out.

Then buy an adapter for your laptop: a tv tuner or a capture card (the capture card doesn't have antenna input, just rca and s-video input). While it can be internal I strongly suggest you use a Usb one as it will be easy to find.

Then plug the cable for the Ps2 you just bought depending on the inputs of your tuner card and finally run Dscaler in it. When you have done this post here and I'll post my Dscaler configuration that will make a very big difference over the default config.... or you could find it with a search, I have posted it many times.
