Is this true?

Well, my last rig:

X3350 @ 3.80GHz quad-core = $350
eVGA 9600GT = $180 (or MSI GeForce 8800GTS G92 = $220)
4GB Crucial Ballistix 950MHz (1066MHz max) RAM dual-channel = $100 ($70 after MIR)
ASUS P5E-VM HDMI = $130
500GB HDD = $120
Antec Nine Hundred = $90
19" Dell LCD monitor = $220
Keyboard and Mouse = $50
6" x 10" Genius tablet = $100 (This is the BEST component out of them all)
500W Thermaltake PSU = $60
Misc, fans, coolers, heatsinks = $120

= $1610 in total. (with the 8800GTS G92)

That's complete with a tablet and all that... and it's not even coming close to your rig's price, but the specifications is about at least twice yours, I think. With 1600EUR, I can even throw the X3350 away for a QX9650 and go 4.2GHz quad!

Yes. A 45nm quad processor with 12MB L2 cache. I MIGHT even be able to do 3.80GHz, but I can only guarantee 3.60GHz.

One without SLI (to reduce the workload on the Northbridge) but strong enough to handle a quad chip at 3.80GHz.

Let's see... that means we'll be looking at 1400 Euro's due to the price of those things. But the DVD-RW drive will also be able to read/write BD discs, and be able to read HD DVD discs. Think of it as a discount.

How much more do you want to upgrade it? That's the bottom line of gaming and entertainment right there. If you want to, you can add in a QX9650 processor... and that'll be about it. You're basically buying the latest of technology available anywhere! Unless you want to go for Skulltrail workstation.

Hmm... ASUS P5E-VM HDMI. The only G35 board in the entire world. But if you want, I can change it to a P5K-E WIFI AP or P5K Deluxe. In other words... motherboard is flexible. It's what you want.

according to my pre estimates from my uk dealers, the components you mentioned would come up to 950.00 in the uk to build. So is that all the components? I mean which PSU, Case, I assume thats all the components.

Gaming Keyboard, Mouse, a 20" monitor (either Dell or Gateway), speakers (from either Creative or Logitech), the computer with all of the listed components, and a liquid-cooling system, and the price is already with shipping. Ask your UK dealers if they can meet that.

P.S.: Oh, and the PSU would be from either Antec, Corsair, or OCZ. You can choose ANY case you want, since the system is liquid-cooled. Oh, and ask if your UK dealers can pre-guarantee you a good OC chip that can get to such clocks stable. I mean... 3.6GHz 45nm quad. The key difference is... I can guarantee you that the system will work at the promised clocks 24/7, and you can freely choose the components.

Where?! My friend paid almost $250 for 2 of them at the cheapest place he could find. They're beautiful monitors and I think I'll be spending my Tax return money on a pair of them...
