what resolution was that?

anyways, not bad, but its not worth the price.
that would cost over $1000 to get 2 of those cards, and it can't even play the game at 60fps.

1900x1200

The drivers are mostly performance tweaks for the 9 series Baxter

oh, not bad.
i thought it was on a lower resolution.

it would be cool if they made a 9900gx4 or some other card that had 4 cores in one.

Even DOOM3 runs slower with the new drivers than the old ones With the old ones it runs ultra quality 1280x1024 & AA4X 300FPS now it runs at only 235!! Iam going back to the old drivers now!!!!

yes a 1 or 2 point drop in a newer game and a large drop form an already overly large old game FPS is a huge deal and instant reason to switch back to older drivers....

169.44

Well, i went back to 169.44 drivers, and i tested F.E.A.R. again... and i got different results than before !!! What happend to my pc?? When i tested F.E.A.R. with 169.44 for first time i had 220 fps max then i tested with 174.74 and i had 2% slower perfomance than 169.44 and now that i tested it again with 169.44 it runs faster!!! I am realy confused i can not understand what is happening?????? anyway is there any driver that work faster for all games with 8800gt than 169.44?

Yes F.E.A.R. runs perfectly on my pc but crysis not... Crysis doesnt go any faster than 35 fps average with the 169.44 and 174.74 with the ultra high tweak... Is that because i dont have installed the crysis pacth?Or do i need a better driver?

Or maybe Crysis is just a crappy game that requires way more power than you have?

crysis is poorly optimised

it's the current day oblivion and will be smashed by a high end single card in 1 years time

yeah i think if crysis was optimised better, then we wouldn't need such powerful cards to run it.

sure its beautiful, but its also programmed crapily.

Yes, thanks to hardware that the likes of runawayprisoner buys, software optimizations have gone completely out of the window over the last year. While the hardware is getting faster and faster, the software essentially is getting slower and slower, and current developers are completely reluctant to change that, because of all these hardware improvements.

Sheesh, the current game developers in this world make me sick. Because of thier standards, they shouldn't be even called "developers".
