PC PCI Slots

Hi there,

These are my specs...

AMD 64 X 2 6400+ Installed 3.2GHZ (Not overclocked)
32Bit Vista Basic (64Bit XP, 32Bit XP and Vista Ultimate 64Bit and 32Bit On its way).
4GB Ram- 2 x Kingston DDR2 Ram, 2 x Corsair DDR2 Ram Each 1GB
Motherboard: AliveNF6G-DVI
Chipset: Nvidia MCP61
Graphics Card: Integreated Nvidia GF 6100 Onboard
+
XFX Nvidia GF 8600 GTS 256MB

Well heres my problem, I have two spare PCI slots in my motherboard but the case doesn't allow me to stick in the PCI card as its blocked by the metal you unscrew which is attached. I have two spare PCI slots under my PCI express, is there a way of unattaching these pieces of metal without a screw.

(Pieces of metal- not unscrewable). If this doesn't work I seem to need another case which would be very irritating.

The PCI covers should be made out of a bendable metal....one side connected to the case and the other side hanging freely. Poke out the metal "hinge" from inside the case, then work it back and forth until the metal snaps from the case

Or you can also... violently break it off. It doesn't matter. It'll just come off... anyway.

My friend did that once...got a nasty gash on his hand that left a scar when it slipped

Just bend the metal back and forth like Kirby said...there's a reason why they designed them like that

I did that before I started this thread and I have a cut now to prove to myself not to do it again.

I'll try bend it back and forth, is it the little clip thing that I can push inside the case with a screwdriver to make a clicking noise?

Success,
I've almost installed everything.

Now my specs are:

AMD 64 X 2 6400+ Installed 3.2GHZ (Not overclocked)
32Bit Vista Basic (Will Install 64Bit Windows Home Premium or Ultimate)
4GB Ram- 2 x Kingston DDR2 Ram, 2 x Corsair DDR2 Ram Each 1GB
Motherboard: AliveNF6G-DVI
Chipset: Nvidia MCP61
Graphics Card: Integreated Nvidia GF 6100 Onboard
+
XFX Nvidia GF 8600 GTS 256MB
+
TV Card (Win TV)
+
700 W Power Supply Unit Ez Cool
+
500GB & 320GB External Hard Disk Drives
+
Creative Audilgy SE 7.1 Sound card
+
Two 20" LCD Monitors & 1 CRT TV

I now want to install another CD-DVD Drive and I suppose get my CRT TV working and my Win TV.
