What Power Supply Unit should I Get?

My specs are

AMD Sempron 3200+ 1.81 GHZ (AMD 64 X 2 6400+ On its way)
32Bit Vista Basic (64Bit XP, 32Bit XP and Vista Ultimate 64Bit and 32Bit On its way).
4GB Ram- 2 x Kingston DDR2 Ram, 2 x Corsair DDR2 Ram Each 1GB
Motherboard: AliveNF6G-DVI
Chipset: Nvidia MCP61
Graphics Card: Integreated Nvidia GF 6100 Onboard
+
XFX Nvidia GF 8600 GTS 256MB
+
(GF 6200 256MB PCI Graphics Card on its way)

Onboard Nvidia Sound (Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 OEM PCI Soundcard, on its way)

and another PCI TV Card (on its way).

Anyway I would like to know after I have installed all of those things what type of Power Supply Unit would I need to utilize the computer. Also to connect all my sockets and not have any not connected. Forgive my noob question I just havn't installed a Power Supply Unit before.

Thanks.

Something with 400 to 450W of power should do the job. Don't worry about efficiency.

that's a pretty undemanding pc, any psu around 450 (as rap said) would suffice

if you plan to upgrade your pc soon then it's a different story though,
you may need an uber psu like mine

Well, 500W PSU here... and still housing 3.8GHz quad with an OCed 9600GT. Yeah, I'm just plain insane.

I hope it's a decent model
if it is then the power draw will be handled no probs

I'm sitting with a Hiper 780W myself, in reality it should have been rated 900w as it can handle a peak of 980W

It's Thermaltake. They have never failed me with any of their cooler units, and I trust that the PSU is good this time as well, as I've primed and gamed for hours on end without any hitches or any problem at all.

Purepower. Toughpowers are too new for me. It's holding its ground quite nice so far. Priming... gaming on Crysis... web browsing... listening to music, and... printing all at once don't seem to have any effect on stability.

Well I'm thinking of upgrading at the end of the week same time as I receive my Power Supply Unit. When you say Uber PSU, what would suffice?

I was thinking of getting this...

Extra Value Titan 650W Neon PSU - 12cm Fan, 20+4pin, 1x SATA, 1x PCI-E - Ebuyer

or this..

Arctic Power 500W PSU With PCI-E 2x SATA, 20+4 ATX12V 8pin +12V Connectors - Retail Boxed - Ebuyer

Are they not powerful enough with the upgrades?

Thanks.

Thermaltake TR2 500W PSU 12cm Fan 12vATX 20+4pin - Ebuyer

Or maybe this as you mentioned Thermaltake.

Extra Value Black 800W Modular 13.5cm Fan PSU - 4x PCI-E, 20+4pin, 6x SATA - Ebuyer

I just saw this 800w at a bargain.

if I was to give advice on a gaming psu, it would be to avoid the wattage number (as long as it's > 500)

go for a modular supply that is of A-grade quality and quiet

This is the definitive quality psu list

In that guide, PurePower may not be able to handle high clocks. Hmm... guess I'm out of luck then. I can only clock my quad to 3.80GHz... But sincerely, IMO, Tier 1 should only be used for suicide runs. Tier 2 for really insane clocks for short sessions... and Tier 3 for 24/7 use at affordable prices. But hey, that's just me.

yeah, tier 2/3 is for non liquid nitrogen people

you'll usually find tier 2 and 3 are closely priced, my psu wasn't that expensive
....well maybe it was but not compared to the bigboy psus

I have chosen my Power Supply Unit, which I am going to purchase.

EZ Cool 700W Tornado PSU - Modded LED Grill, 12cm Fan, 2x SATA, PCI-E - Ebuyer

EZ Cool 700W Tornado PSU - Modded LED Grill, 12cm Fan, 2x SATA, PCI-E

But what Tier does it fall under, from reviews they say its Silent and a good Power Supply.

Well, mine is silent. Or at least my CPU fan is too loud.

Cool cheers.

My Power Supply Unit and an additional 20" monitor is on its way. Meaning I'll have two 20" monitors.

Stay away from TR2's, they aren't good quality, PurePower and ToughPowers are the best made psu's i've used, cool as heck, the fan, situated in the bottom of the psu, draws heat from the cpu, and vents it out the back of the PSU.

Yeah I wanted a pure power, but they were quite hard to find and pricey, so I went for a tornado.
