Good laptop deals?

Anyone know of any good places to find a decent laptop for a decent price? I've been searching eBay and the usual places but can't usually find the good ones within an affordable price range. I've got an old Toshiba Satellite from 1999, it's not bad, but the hardware is too obsolete to do any 3D related programming on it. It doesn't have to be the latest and greatest machine on the market or have to have the latest GPU, just anything with decent T&L GPU (hell, even GeForce2 is looking good right about now). Any links? Thanks.

Tried it... the search doesn't work well for low-populated areas.

Sony, if you don't care about battery explosion XD

Anyhoo, what's the main purpose of your laptop?

Get a Macbook if you are a student.

Man even Dell has some pretty sweet deals. Since I don't know your budget, they are starting at around $499.00 US plus I get coupons emailed to me all the time saving 20% etc ... Plus it's new which is always nice with new technology (well newer...)

But like FadingZ mentioned, it depends on what you want to do with the laptop as well. What size/screen are you looking for?

Oh, sorry for the slow reply. I forgot about this thread for a minute

Anyway, $499 USD doesn't sound too bad atm. It's not a Celeron is it? As far as price, the most I can afford is around $700 USD max. I'm not too picky about screen size right now. I'm going to need a notebook with Windows on it because I plan to do windows programming on the go. It doesn't have to be the greatest 3D machine, but it does need from decent to mediocre 3D hardware acceleration (programmable pipeline is a plus). So what I need basically is a machine that I can run Direct3D9+ samples on or at least be able to run a game such as Doom3 without speed problems.
