Hard Disk Problem Help!

Recently i download a software that can make a bootable disk using usb pen drive like the old school boot disk using floppy disk..after i install it, it directly configure my external hard disk that i always plug on my pc..well the big problem is i couldn't access my external hard disk and the window keep asking me to format my external hard disk everytime i try to open the disk (double click)..i don't want to format my external hard disk because i got so much important document & software that are valuable to me..i die if i couldn't fix this problem

so can someone tell me a good solution? what a good software to use (freeware)?

i've searching the net to find solution but still no hope! i've read some article regarding to this problem like my external hard disk have problem to it LBA or MBR but i have no clue whatsoever?
