I have to recommend the Xaser. My friend got one and that thing is MASSIVE. It comes with 10 expansion slots, which will give you added height to work with even if you don't use them all. It also supports water cooling and extended PSU's without needing to mod your case if either of those are desirable features. Its expensive, but I'd say its worth it. Although.. it does look like 'a lit up toy robot' as someone said. I kind of like that sort of thing though ._.;. TRANSFORMERS! COLD CATHODES BLIND YOUR EYES. Hahaha.

*spelling errors, whee.

PCXL FAn, its more the fact you are payinf for the PSU and the Case, i'd much prefer to have a rock solid psu with a slightlyo ff case then a rock solid case with a psu that is smoking pot and calling me nigga every 10 mins.

Yeah, the imbalanced psu in p190 is a really big con in the case.
p182 seems pretty well, but it's pretty heavy.
I'll probably move my workstation every two months or so, since I don't want o leave it in my dorm when I go back home. Hence the reason I choose aluminum base cases. ><

I'd go with the Cosmos S. When I was building mine, it was between the first Cosmos and the Stacker 830 SE (same as the Stacker 832 but with a differ [better in my opinion] door). I ended up going with the latter, but the new Cosmos seems to take the best of both in one case, with the look of the Cosmos. It is expensive, but it seems the best of those.

P.S. You can get the Stacker 830 SE, which as I said is about the same thing as the 832, for about $120 if the price hasn't changed since I got it.

You know what... if you're going to get a Q9450, I suggest that... you don't bother with airflow or anything. Wanna know why? Check my Q9450/X3350 thread for more information.

It's actually just one or two threads below this one in the list. Mmm... I think this one is a keeper.

My mistake. I just looked and it was $170 on my receipt. I was thinking $120 becuase I bought my PSU at the same time and that's how much it cost. Either way, it looks like the price went way up on the case.

Considering it was already high to begin with, sheez. I don't know if I'd recommend it then. At $170, I'd do it again given the chance, but I'd go with the Cosmos S at that price point. Like I said, it's the best of both.

Are you still getting a Yorkfield quad, though? If so, please check the thread... right below this one before deciding to purchase a case.

Yep,
that CPU sounds nice , and $418 is a fair price.
I might consider Antec if I can't get enough budget by the end of the month, or the larger cases with 2x yorkfield
I'm not sure if I should dual CPU first or go for FX5600. (though the first option costs a lot less @@")

I'm thinking $350 for the chip (yes, it's actually $350), and then you can get any case you want... since it doesn't matter anyway.

they should make a cosmos with real carbon fiber panels, instead of the aluminum ones. it would be lighter, and with thinsulate, nearly as quiet. but it would be waaaay more expensive though-like around $850
