What video plugin should I use?

Hi! What video plugin do you recommend me for best visuals. I would use openGL2 + shaders but it isn't working for me, openGL and openGL2 make my keyboard lag. I have dual core processor 2gb ram and ATI x1950 pro. So I want something else that gives me good graphics no GL. Can you recommend me something?

Thanks!

im going to guess the reason you are getting trouble with openGL plugins is due to your card's drivers, apparently ATI has been slacking in that area as of late, i would recommend you give them a piece of your mind sometime soon so they have more incentive to get their act together. im not sure about that keyboard lag though, there could be other reasons behind that.

anyway, even though i could use the openGL plugins for their nice shader options, i tend to stick to the d3d dx6 1.76 plugin. i find it rather nice to use, and from looking at various in game screenshots, graphic-wise there is not really too much you are going to miss out on depending on what you do or do not decide to have enabled. if you want me to i can post the settings i generally use for that plugin for something to go off of.

I think OGL2 with the natural vision shader offer the best visual, your card being enough powerful to handle it.

But as Jonc suggested, what it would be helpful to know what happens when you use this plugin in order to help you know why it doesn't work.

Keyboard lag can be caused by having the priority of explorer.exe and any other exe that hooks the keyboard too low (such as fraps, taskswitch, the ati control panel exe's)

In my laptop (not a good one that is) I am able to run around 60 playstation games without any problems .I used Pete`s DX6 (& Pete`s D3D at times) as video plugin !
