Need help getting sound to work

Ok I finally got xPSXe all setup, it will start games but ONLY if I disable all sound =(, so at least we know my problem is sound related. I've tried SPUeternal,pete's and the CORE plugin and every one of them make me crash,

Here are the following error messages for each plugin

CORE= *Error can't open sound handler. (try -nosound)

Eternal SPU=Just crashes to desktop, no error messages, besides the usual encountered a problem and needs to close.

Pete's= DirectSoundCreate! error

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciate, I know you are all smarter than I am =P

Nevermind...apparently the sound on my comp had ****ed up and I didn't realize it cause I was just surfing, but then I restarted my comp, it fixed the issue and everything works fine now =)
