Changing Input Plugin?

Hi,

I am having trouble with the default input plugin for ePSXe in that it doesn't recognize my joypad axises properly. On ngemu I found a section for different ePSXe input plugins except I can't figure out how to install them via the Wizard Guide which has no 'change input plugin' option nor the config menu which goes straight to gamepad config.

My Logitech Wingman works well with another emulator under an input plugin that recognizes the joypad name which I'm hoping one of the non-generic input plugins do once someone helps me install it. Is there an ini file that needs to be edited manually?

Thanks,

shining

Have you updated your device drivers?

Also, make sure all gamepad-related programs (i.e., profilers) are off.

Device drivers up to date and I think profilers are off. The Wingman is recognized as a direct input device and I can select it from a list with a plugin for a different emulator.

The default input plugin for ePSXe does not allow me to select direct input devices from a list. I found numerous input plugins for ePSXe here: NGEmu - ePSXe plugins and my question is how do you get ePSXe to recognize one of them besides the default?

AFAIK, The windows version of ePSXe does not support pad plugins. You'll have to stick with the default....
Well now for your problem....What do you mean by "it doesn't recognize my joypad axises properly"?

By that I mean the calibration of the axises is defunct IMO. When I try the gamepad in ePSXe in the problem I recieve is it's stuck going up, left or both.
Thanks for the info, I might try a different psx emulator.

Well.I had the same problem with my Thrustmaster Dual power.I used a calibration tool to (partially) solve the issue. Meaby there is a logitech calibration tool in the drivers which can help you?
