Question Getting ePSXe to run at fullspeed

I have been trying to get this emulator running well on my computer. I meet both the Minimal and Recomended requirements, so I would think that I should have no problem running some games at fullspeed. Just for reference, here are my PC Specs:

Quote:
OS: WinXP Home Edition 5.1 Service Pack 2 (Build #2600)
CPU: Intel Pentium III, 996 MHz
Video: SyncMaster 940BW/199BW, SyncMaster Magic CX915BW(Analog) on nVidia GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro (1440x900x32bpp 60Hz)
Sound: C-Media Wave Device
Memory: 512MB
Seeing as how I have above what is reccommended, I should have no problems running the Emulator, I would assume. Now, here is my configuration for the emulator:

Video: Pete's PSX OpenGL 2 Renderer. I have clicked the "fast" button, so I would assume these options are the lowest quality (I am assuming what is native to the PSX). For reference, here is an image with the options I have selected.

Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2. with Enable Sound, Enable CDDA Sound, and Enable XA Sound checked. Enable SPU IRQ Hack is unchecked.

CDROM: ePSXe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2. with my Default CD writer checked (NOT my DVD ROM drive) Enable Subchannel Caching to disk is the only think checked.

BIOS: scph7502.bin

I dont know if there is a better recommended setup for my computer, but any suggestions anyone can give would really help me out. Thanks a bunch

Ahh, oso it seems I was using bad plugins. I wish the guide told me to use other ones rather than the ones included. Thanks a bunch (I did read that before, but I never thouhg of using alternate plugins...)
