Gamepad/Keyboard Trouble

Hello, I've been using ePSXe and I have been very pleased with it so far, but if I am only using a keyboard to play games, is there a way for it to be switched over to another port, or do I need a gamepad to that?
Any help is appreciated.

If I understand correctly you want to swith from port 1 to port 2,exactly? Are you playing MGS by any chance?

Yes, I want to switch ports and I am playing MGS.
