Vista compatible joypad convertor?

2 years ago i purchased from play.com a ps2 to usb convertor. I now have a vista laptop but it wont recognise the USB convertor. I have searched online and cant find any compatible. All i have found is a comment saying download a vista driver from EMS but this doesnt work. Can anyone suggest a way of getting my joytech adaptor working in vista or reccomend a vista compatible convertor?

Vista just isn't a smart choice for an operating system until about two years from now. And even then, I'm a little iffy.

Yep it a little bit rubbish to be honest, but i needed a new laptop and everything now comes with vista. Id have XP only but all the drivers and installation is built into the HD so it would be tricky to install xp over it. I dont know if you have/used vista but its more annoying than anything else.

I don't have the chance to use Vista yet.So I can't really help you about finding drivers for your adaptor on this system. But as it does not work on, maybe you can think about purchasing a real PC joypad?

Knowing that they are some which are really good and cheap this can perhaps be a way to definitively solve the issue, didn't it?

I am using a pc pad at the moment so its not really a BIG problem. I just like the feel of the ps2 pad. Its just, when things dont work i want to fix them lol.

Yeah, Vista is fairly annoying. I can't help you much with you are asking but I can vouch for the "joypad converter" that I use with 32-bit Vista. I use a simple Radioshack PS2 to USB converter. I bought it for $11 and I use my Dualshock 2 with it. It has worked great so far.
