Need help with changing gameplay on ePSXe

I have two questions: How do I change the speed at which a game is played, and how do I disable full screen?

You can change both setting in the video plugin configuration.
What video plugin are you using btw?

To enter/exit fullscreen, the usual hotkey is Alt + Enter. To exit fullscreen, press escape.

Thanks, figured it out on my own. New question, though. How do I make added codes work on PEC? When I add them, nothing happens.
