'ePSXe encountered a problem and needs to close'

whenever i open the bios or a cd it says that. i configured everything and it sayd everything worked but if i try opening something it says this then i have to close it.

What plugins are you using and what are your system specs? Do you have updated drivers for your videocard, soundcard, etc?

im using all pete plugins, its a windows 2000, and ive never updated video/sound cards
and the other window for epsxe is saying this:
NTSC cdrom detected
warning: cdrom read mode unknown.
doing init gpu [0]
gpu open [0]
direct input init ok.
init core spu ... ok.
error reading cd: 0,2,16
error reading cd: 0,2,0
its a playstation 1 disk, spyro the dragon. it has a few scratches on it but it works in my ps2
edit: i did dxdiag in the run thing, should i paste it all in or is that a security problem that could let someone hack me if i pasted it here

Well there's the first hint. Go update everything you can think of, specifically the graphics card.

Try using Xeven's CDR plugin, or making an ISO.

have you installed an ASPI Layer ? google force aspi. have you properly configured your cd-rom plugin

i got the computer used so idk if there updated

how do i make an iso?

Just follow this guide.
I suggest Alcohol120% or ISO Producer (freeware).

i thought to copy a cd i just copyd the files onto a blank one lol.
