memory crashies

whenever i try to run a game (or even just boot into the bios) I get an error saying

The instruction at "blah blah" referenced memory at "blah blah". The memory could not be "written".

The 2 memory addresses are always the same, which I read as meaning that the instruction is trying to overwrite itself. The same error occurs in pcsx and psx.

This never used to happen and I can't think of any major changes i've made that may have caused this. I've tried reinstalling and using different plugins with no results. Any ideas?

P.S. I am running Windows Server 2003 EE SP1

What are your computer specs and what game(s) are you trying to play?

Computer specs are:

Athlon 64 3200+
1 gig ram
XFX GeForce 7600Gt

Its happening with all games, so far i've tried tekken 3, dead or alive, gran turismo 2 and final fantasy 9 (all running from isos).

Try going to the registry and deleting the entries (they are under PSemu Pro) and then redownload the emulator and unzip it to a different drive (if possible).

The folder is not read-only, is it?

It feels like there is an obvious solution here, but I can't quite figure out what it is. I'm sure that when it's resolved, it will be pretty ridiculously easy.

Anyway, have you tried deleting all the plugins except the ones you absolutely need?

It seemed to me to be a problem with the OS because it was happening with all PS emulators so I did a windows repair and that fixed it.

I'm still not sure what the exact problem was though, probably some corrupt system file or something.
