setup help needed for ePSXe and latitude cpt

I am trying unsuccessfully to run ePSXe on my laptop. I know the program/files/plugin are all good as I copied them from a PC that they do work on. However on the laptop it wont work. I have tried several video plugins to no avail. when I click "Run CDROM" from the "frontend" it goes to black screen, then stays at black screen with no activity. I have set the video plugins to display FPS in top-left and it does show this info though FPS = 0.00

any ideas on setup for my laptop and ePSXe???

Patrick

What games are you trying to play? With a rig like that, though (low end), I'd suggest either using software plugins or pSX emulator.

I did try the Pete's Soft Video plugin (though maybe I need specific settings?). so far I have tried two games that I know work on other PC's, C-n-C Red Alert and GT2. both had same results, black screen with FPS 0.00 (and other codes) in upper left and nothing more...

perhaps the DVD drive needs specific settings/plug-in as well? I believe it is 4x and "standard" drive for the dell latitude cpt

I did try the suggested PSXemulator but got the D3D error, even with directx9.0b installed. I am not sure that my laptop video supports #D, could that be a problem?

I havent tried testing with an ISO file, I will do that tonight

any idea which emulator will work with my setup?

Patrick
