ePSXe on mini ITX board (S3 Unichrome Pro Gfx)

Hey guys,

I am planning to build myself sort of a media server for my living room around a small mini itx board, specifically a jetway J7F2 with a fanless 1.2 Ghz C7 processor and a Savage S3 Unichrome Pro 3d Card and supposedly 256 or 512 mb ram.

will it be possible to use epsxe at reasonable speed in that configuration? i have no idea how fast the onboard gpu actually is ... i like a very retro-like flair, i dont mind to use low resolutions and no filters.

absolutely. I got the exact same s3 unichrome, and it works perfectly.
be sure to use pete's d3d (NOT THE DX6 ONE) for your graphics pluging, and it will work flawlessly. Heck, i even have less ram than you and it works perfectly.
You don't need to use filters, since you can't use shaders. Non-shader filters are pretty much disgusting anyway. You can safely use 800x600 resolution.
