Setup

Hi firstly let me say what a great emu this seems to be, it seems to be letting me relive all my old PS fun and has given me a reason not to finally throw out all my old games!

now my question is i have been trying to setup GT2 but the graphics seem a little hmm blocky, no matter what i select, maybe im expecting to much but it has perfectly reproduced crash bandicoot 2 and 3 and also made a very fine job of tekken 3 (ive not tried any other games yet)

i am using pete's openGL2 driver 2.8 for graphics and pates Dsound audio driver 1.15 i cannot find any info on plugins for sound but this seems good.. any extra info on sound plugins would be very welcome

the system im running all this on is..

AMD64 3700+ (with some o/c)
nvidia 7800 GT (with some o/c)
creative SBlive! platinum edition
2gig of RAM
and a nec 20" WS LCD monitor

any help would be very much appreciated

You can try to use some shaders with the Pete's OGL2 plugin.
As for sound i recommend Eternal SPU plugin 1.41 (not lite), which you can get here.

ok thanks, just tryed the sound plugin seems very good!

i do have 1 other question tho, is there a correct way to exit a game, i have just been pressing esc key then the rest on the epsxe console but sometimes after doing this my desktop seems to freeze the mouse still works tho but i cannot close down epsxe or open any files, ctrl+alt+del does nothing so i have to press the reset button and restart the PC.

Well a proper way to turn ePSXe off is to press ESC, then when the GUI shows up you either click "X" or go to File -> Exit.

Does the freeze happens every time or only sometimes?
Is it related to the period you are playing the game?

its just sometimes i can either just be testing new settings for a minute or so then exiting it did happen once or twice after playing for longer..

everything is OK until i press the red reset in the bottom right corner, i'll do it your way from now on, i was just doing it that way as a faster way to switch games
