problem: Control delay

I'm playing Final Fantasy IX ISO on ePSXe 1.5.2, I don't have any other games to play at the moment so I can't test if this problem occurs in every game.

When I press "X" and hold it down for several seconds, then release, the function for "X" stops with a delay. It seems like the longer I hold it down the longer it takes to "release". Sometimes this makes battle controls extremely annoying, when instead of the one tap I gave the button, the game registers two taps for some reason. Also it makes navigation on the map hard since the character doesn't stop when I want it to.

I have tried several emulators including PCSX, video plugins, framerates etc. and nothing seems to work. There should be nothing wrong with my keyboard, its relatively new and functions perfectly with other programs.

Please help me!

I just got back my Final Fantasy VII. Tried running it through the CD, worked fine EXCEPT THE CONTROLS WERE STILL LAGGY :----( That rules out the possibility of a corrupted ISO file being the source of the problem.

yes i have this problem too with my Crash Team Racing when i press L1 or R2 then holding X and hold < or > and when i release the button my car still make the turn and it really gets me angry this has never been happened to me before with my WWF SD! 2 know ur role then when i install crash 4 and play it works fine but one time when my sister played on crash and then after that i had this problem now i have with WWF SmackDown! 2 i tried everything the Sound plugins Video plugins Multitap On Off i delete my savegames download again epsxe again but nothing helps i read here and many peoples have this bad bug it looks like bug cuz many peoples have it but on my PC this doesn't happened before and now happens and no1 have here solution some suggestions?
