I have made a PSX ISO and I don't know what to do.
I made an ISO and It cant play on EPSXE. It is a .ccd file and it's FF7. Please save me so I can play this gem of a game once more. (PSX broke down)

Open epsxe, then file=> run iso=> then select the img file of your image disk.
You got also another solution mounting your cd image on a virtual drive then configuring epsxe for using this virtual drive.Use Daemon's tool for that. |

2 problems.
1) I don't have a virtual drive (I don't think. I don't know some of these things) 2) When I usually have to go to File--> Run ISO--> BIOS--> FF7 folder--> and then It just doesn't show up. I type the first letter and then it says FF7 [something][NTSC].ccd. Then I load it and even after an HOUR, it's just a black screen. |

That's what I said.Daemon's tool allow you to create virtual drives in order to mount your image on and to use it as the real cd.Same processus as your physical cd but here all the stuff is located on hard drive. You'll find daemon's tool here.

I don't believe that there is a plugin that will run .ccd files. You need to have it in .iso or .bin format I believe, or use a virtual drive utility to mount your .ccd file.
(I usually play all of my games straight off my cds though, so I'm not 100% if .ccd works with epsxe or not, but I was pretty sure that it didn't. Either way, using Daemon Tools to create a virtual drive would be much easier )

a RAR file is a compression format, you'll need a program like winrar to uncompress the file.
*ponders on how to make an RAR image *

ok ok, just delete whatever you made. Put the disc back in your drive and follow one of these guides. You should have no problems with that.
Another issue is if your ePSXe is actually configured properly. What are your system specs and what plugins are you using? |

the iso should load up straight away, why dont you just play final fantasy 7 off its original disk on epsxe?
if the screen stays black, its because epsxe cant read the iso or disk, either because the program didnt make the iso properly (eg winiso) or you need to change the cd rom drive in epsxe cdr prefs have you tried ripping it to a .cue/.bin and then running the .bin in epsxe? I use alcohol 120% and have had absolutely no trouble in making images or burning them, its a great program
