Save state issue(FFIX)

I was in the middle of a card tornament thing on Final Fantasy IX and It crashed...I had made a save state before I started incase I lost and lost one of my good cards

Save state has worked perfectly until now.

Yet...

After that I had to go so I figured I'd boot it up later, ya know?

So I left for like 6 or so hours . . .

started PSX back up, loaded the game, went to save state ...nothing???(I hadn't saved in the game in a tid bit, I ussualy do, but it was a time presssing matter)

So I go to my PSX folder and see save states...I got one for today there it says, around the time I was playing? So the state IS saved, but I can't load it? is there any other way to load it in the emulator? I tried even renaming it to a new Save state(Was just a black screen...)I made and tried to do that(didn't work)

Oh and I did exit properly after saving the state(...I'm...pretty sure I didn't close the DOS window first, I never do, I always exit to guy then File > exit....maybe this time I forgot??? ugh...)
So any way I can load the save state manually? thanks for any help (it's not really to far from where I last saved...I just did a TON of work during the perioid that if I could NOT loose...I would be happy, lol)

AFter googling for a bit I found this outdated FAQ on FF9 and ePSX and switching discs. I had to load DISC two, LOAD my save state from it; then switch back to disc 3, via the disc swap command and go back in-game and it works....

Whew...guess I solved my own problem(Sorry for this topic><)
