OpenGL2 Internal Resolution Issue

Heya,

I'm currently using these settings...:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.8
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
GFX card: Radeon X1900 GT x86/MMX/3DNow!/SSE2

Resolution/Color:
- 1280x1024 Fullscreen - NO desktop changing
- Internal X resolution: 1
- Internal Y resolution: 2
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off
- No render-to-texture: off

- Filtering: 6
- Hi-Res textures: 1
- TexWin pixel shader: off
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer effects: 3
- Framebuffer uploads: 2

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Mdec filter: on
- Screen filtering: on
- Shader effects: 1/4
- Flicker-fix border size: 0
- GF4/XP crash fix: off
- Game fixes: off [00000002]

Ok, for a start, these settings work fine. However, when i set the Internal X Res to VERY HIGH, the screen just becomes funny/distorted. I can't even see anything, but the sound is stilll going in the background.
Thanx in advance!

P.S: My system's specs are in my sig.

The problem that you face, which also happens to be an issue i've encountered, is a problem either with ATi or Pete...my money, unfortunately, is on ATi.

Pete's plugin seems to have a slight issue with ATi's Catalyst driver suite. Anyone who has an ATi X1000 series card will inevitably encounter this issue. Until Pete, or ATi, contend with this issue, there is nothing to be done...

...believe me, i've searched.

try putting x on 2 and y on 3 and see if that works. (i doubt it will, but it's worth a try)

Until ATi or Pete fix this issue, we are just gonna have to wait. In the meantime, just use Pete's OpenGL or Direct3D plugin....it looks damn fine!

Well, concerning this issue, I have been notified that ATi are planning to correct his issue in their August edition of their Catalyst Suite (v6.8).

And I have confirmed this to be true...I have tested it.

For confirmation & a temporary fix until the Catalyst 6.8 are out, check this out:

http://www.razyboard.com/system/inde...e=30#go_133397

I have tested, and confirm that my issue is finally resolved; I have a feeling it will do so for you too, ian209.
