SlikStik config and ePSXe

Hopefully someone can help me with this... I have an arcade cabinet with a SlikStik controller originally configured for use with MAME. I recently added ePSXe to it. When I press "R1" (boundd to "9" on the keyboard) the game speeds up. Also, when I press "Circle" (bound to "0" on the keyboard) the game freezes and the sound skips. Is there any way to change this? Thanks for any help. I'd rather not re-configure my SlikStik just to play ePSXe.

Yes, change your keys or change the keys in the GPU key configuration (under GPU plugin you press "..." button).
