crashing error

Not sure if its profram bug, or something else wrong my comp in particular. I cannot switch between windowed and fullscreen mode once loaded
and i cannot hit escape to go out, and then click 'run->continue' to start it back.

Fullscreen works if it starts there. If i then hit alt-enter to go to windowed mode, it still works, but is very small, and i dont want to play at that size. However, if i hit alt-enter again, i get a 'epsxe has performed an illegal operation' standard windows msg, and it closes the program. This is making playing while looking at walkthrough on comp a bit difficult. does anyone know any way to solve this? (short of printing out some.... 600 pages on a dot matrix printer?)

well, you say its "very small" in windowed mode. first, try pressing the Nice preset. secondly, change your resolution, see if that does anything. i recommend 640x480 for windowed...and whatever your desktop res is for fullscreen. however, if you're getting crashes still, try changing the fullscreen one to 640x480 perhaps.

depending on what game you're playing and your system specs, you may want to use a hardware GPU plugin. so, what game are you playing and what are your system specs?

currently, im bouncing between chrono trigger, final fantasy 5 (second best ever made, only 3 topped it, and i mean the 3 that never came to america, yes im weird) final fantasy 6, and final fantasy tactics. all produce the error when i attempt to switch from windowed to fullscreen. I tried your recommended settings, and windowed mode is easier to work with now, so i guess i worked around my problem. but is there a way to fix it completely? even with your settings, when i try to go from window to fullscreen while playing, i get illegal operation messages. if theres not, then its no longer a big deal. i shoulda tried this first, but i recalled my poor experiences with Bleem running from cd drive, and if i didnt fullscreen it i tended to get awful lag. (well, worse then normal anyway :P) thanks loads for having an emulator that works better.

ughhhh. this is where i recommend you to use ZSNES unless you are REALLY REALLY desperate to see the cutscenes

does it happen when you use another emulator, like PSXeven, SSSPSX, PCSX?
